BIOMASS RESEARCH CENTRE

UNIVERSITY OF PERUGIA

The BIOMASS RESEARCH CENTRE is a leading italian centre for the study and testing of biomass supply chains and related energy conversion systems. It carries out several activities related to the development of renewable energy sources, particularly to the energy conversion of biomass.

The main research activity focuses on polymer nanocomposites, particularly on the realization of new architectures, on the treatments for the functionalisation of surfaces and interfaces of nanostructured materials, on the compatibility with polymer mixtures, on the realization of multifunctional organic-inorganic hybrid coatings and on the modification of the surface properties of materials for functional applications.
